Bought 2 of them. One stopped working altogether after about 8 months, the other has only worked through 1 airstone since around a month after I bought it, useless.

Diana is so right. We had to take apart twice which is never good considering a relatively flimsy construction. We were also caught out with the holes on the side support bars having to take apart when we thought we were done. It took 2-3 hours to construct due to very poor instructions provided. Word of warning here, the bottom support wire must be observed carefully when filling the pool with water. With the half moon pool in position with its back to our fence on a level paved patio we filled the pool as per the instructions, unfortunately the wire support had moved on the back support foot which was promptly ripped off collapsing the rear of the pond. We had to remove 330 litres of water with a bucket, replace the foot with another an refill. Would not recommend for a young family situation. If a child was to lean heavily on the side of the pond or worse still attempt to sit on the edge of same the whole thing would certainly collapse. It’s ok for adults who understand what it actually is which is a rubber pond liner with pvc port holes supported by flimsy plastic side panels attached to ultra thin aluminium supports which are held together with plastic clips. Proceed with caution. Looks great but in my opinion not worth the £350-£400 asking price.

Can I install the bulb inside my filter?

Took about an hour to make up, was easier than I expected. One think I will say is there is like a plug pin an screws the screws go into the plug, directions dont tell you that. Other than that just follow instructions

The youtube videos did not explain the problems that you may come across so you need to look at the reviews on line which do help you set this up and not the manual. Make sure you have the right holes in the right places when you put in the uprights as if you don't the holes for the side cross bars will not line up and you will need to drill your own or take it apart again.

How do you know if the UV is working , Mine does not seem to be working on the new 6000 I bought as the pond is still green gone in a week ago

I have just purchased this model and I have to say that the previous model was far better. This new one is a nightmare to put together as stretching the frames is required. The old model simply screwed together with no straining. Also the new top will no doubt become marked in time. Given the choice I would have purchased the previous model if I could have found one.

Would this be adaptable (using tubing, I presume) for a lion-head water spout? I've got the head, just need the reservoir for the water and the right pump.

Apart from keeping a "vent" gap open in severe ice, do these actually heat the rest of the pond water? Like keep it above a certain temperature? I just bought one and am worried about the water getting too low.

Hi the fixing of the bars is virtually impossible and this does actually show the lady actually fitting the bars - does anyone have any tips for this before I do a Basil Fawlty with this pond

This is much more tricky than it looks. I purchased the half moon affinity. Be prepared for a good few hours of assembly, and someone who is strong and can help pull the braces into place. I didn't realise how complex it would be- for the money it should have been easier. Even the liner is tricky to put on the hooks. Looks nice when completed though!

After looking into various pumps and prices I uncovered this at: goo.gl/mxxUCP and wasn't expecting much from it considering it actually was nearly 1/10th the buying price of the next size up that we was checking out getting. I figured I would try it out for watering the vegetable garden because it's not much money to lose if it doesn't work and I can easily join 2 or three together to get extra pressure. I managed to purchase it to throw around a 4m radius at a standard garden impact sprinkler.

Quality item at a reasonable price. Have recommended this to a friend and ordered one for her as well. Have just ordered another for myself to use in another feature, such good quality. Don't be taken in by this. It's not as easy as it looks, and certainly not a one person job. All was going well until it came to fitting the leg cross braces. No way is this as easy as it shows here. I managed to get three in. When I tried to get the fourth in, the keys started falling out in the braces that I had already fitted. Now two keys are missing and I have given up until I can get someone to help me.

* It's worth noting that you can't see if the bulb is working until the clarifier is plugged back into the main unit - not that you should be looking at it anyway! Once it's put back in and the the power switched on you can see a blue glowing ring on the top of the yellow unit.
